Electro-magnetic compatibility (EMC)

European EMC guidelines were developed within the framework of the standardization of national regulations. On November 9, 1992, these guidelines were incorporated in the law relating to the electric-magnetic compatibility of equipment.

This has resulted in the need to submit to EMC tests not only radio equipment but also all electrical and electronic equipment, plants and systems.

The purpose of this test is the awarding of the CE sign which
is the pre-condition for the operation of electrical equipment
starting on January 1, 1996.
